Watchtower & Friends is committed to advancing innovation that benefits both people and planet. We recognize that the long-term success of our portfolio—and the communities in which we operate—depends on protecting natural resources, upholding human rights, and fostering inclusive economic growth.

We therefore decline to invest in ventures whose core products, services, or practices cause demonstrable harm to the environment or society. Each prospective investment undergoes an environmental and social due-diligence screen; if a company’s activities accelerate climate change, degrade ecosystems, or violate fundamental labor or consumer protections, it will not receive funding.

Beyond capital, we actively partner with our startups to embed responsible practices from day one. This includes setting measurable sustainability targets, adopting equitable hiring and compensation policies, and cultivating diverse, safe, and respectful workplaces. By integrating these standards early, we help founders build resilient companies that deliver lasting value to all stakeholders.
